We are currently on the lookout for a Diagnostic Technician to join our established team at Snows BMW, Portsmouth.
Your day
As a Diagnostic Technician, you will perform a variety of workshop work in an efficient and safe manner.
The aim is to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity.
Your day will include
- Performing routine servicing of vehicles in accordance with brand technical standards.
- Undertaking air-conditioning system servicing and repairs.
- Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
- Ensuring that working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous.
- Diagnosing and undertaking general repairs to vehicles including MOT repairs.
- Performing diagnostic investigations into vehicle electrical system faults, providing reports on faults found.
- Carrying out welding repairs to vehicles.
- Obtaining estimates and ordering car parts in order to resolve the vehicle issues.
- Liaising with customers where appropriate updating them on the status of their vehicle checks.
Have you got what it takes?
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
- Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
- Highly skilled in fault diagnosis
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to delivering first class customer service.
- Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.

Hours of work
Monday to Friday - 08.30-17.30 (1/2 hour for lunch)
