We are currently looking to recruit an experiencedSales Manager to join our established Kia dealership based in Newbury. This role is focused on ensuring the established Sales Team drive sales forward.
The Sales Manager is a member of the Sales Team and will report to the Franchise Manager. The Sales Manager’s role is to achieve sales and financial targets by the effective development of the Sales Department Plans and Budgets in accordance with the criteria set out by the Brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coach the Assistant Sales Manager and Sales Executives to ensure they meet their set goals and objectives in order to achieve high sales performance.
- Oversee the transfer of product knowledge to the Sales Team to ensure Team are up to date on the product/brand and have received the relevant training.
- Develop and achieve a Department Profit Plan ensuring it involves all financial aspects of the department, including annual business plans, marketing and advertising budgets, operating expenses, capital budgets and the assessments of sales forecasts and potential.
- Responsible for overseeing the department’s administrative control system to ensure it is being followed correctly (i.e., appraisal, mileage check and HPI of all vehicles taken in part exchange or purchased for cash).
- Ensure all enquires are handled effectively following the Snows sales process and that all leads are processed and followed up consistently.
- Ensure‘Treating Customer Fairly’ process is followed to assist the Group in meeting its obligations under the Financial Conduct Authority’s guidelines.
- Manage stock (new and used vehicles) daily, considering residual values and ageing policies.
- Ensure accurate customer records in both computer and paper formats are kept. (GDPR)
- Control the security of all vehicle stocks, keys, and vehicle documents to ensure they are kept safely.
- All used vehicles offered for sale are to be presented as to how the Brand specifies to their Used Car standards, complete with photographs and mailer material.
- Authorise all repair and preparatory work on sales vehicles to ensure they meet the standards.
- Oversee the showroom and outside display areas ensuring they are kept to a high standard for any potential customers.
- Manage the presentation of the dealership off-site, through marketing activities such as advertising, sponsorship, or promotions, to ensure conformity with the Brand specifications.

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 08:30 – 18:00 (standard regular day off in week, 30 mintues for lunch)
Saturday 08:30 – 17:00 (30 mins for lunch)
Sunday 10:0 ‑ 16:00 (30 mins for lunch)
