We Care

That's why we need people like you. People who appreciate their role in helping others to be successful.

We have an opportunity for a Planner to join our friendly team, supporting South West Water.

This is a fast-paced role where you'll play an important part in coordinating operational works, keeping jobs on track and making sure teams have the information and permits they need to carry out work efficiently.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in...

  • Planning and scheduling work for operational teams using internal systems and planning tools.

  • Turning work requests into clear, accurate work instructions.

  • Monitoring jobs from start to finish, tracking progress and updating systems.

  • Liaising with operational colleagues and customers to coordinate activities, manage expectations and resolve issues.

  • Preparing, submitting and tracking streetworks permits and notices, including traffic management, footway and road closures, using one.network and internal systems.

  • Checking work windows and road restrictions to ensure works are planned in line with permit requirements and relevant regulations, including NRSWA.

  • Ensuring planning records, permits and associated paperwork are completed accurately and within required timescales.

We would love to hear from you if...

You have experience in a planning, scheduling or operational coordination role, ideally within the utilities or construction sectors. Experience of streetworks and managing permits through one.network or similar systems would be particularly useful, along with an understanding of NRSWA requirements.

You'll be highly organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and confident communicating with a range of people. Good IT skills, attention to detail and a proactive, customer-focused approach are essential, along with the ability to resolve issues effectively in a busy environment.
