We are seeking an inspirational Teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, high‑quality learning experiences for young people who need support to re‑engage with education. At Snowdon Village – Engage, you will play a vital role in helping students rebuild confidence, develop positive behaviours and rediscover a love of learning. Our provision supports students who are struggling to thrive in mainstream school, offering short- and medium-term placements designed to reset, re‑engage and prepare them for a successful return or next step pathway. Guided by our ethos to safeguard, inspire, encourage and support growth, you will deliver a balanced and broad curriculum that helps every young person progress academically, socially and emotionally.
About the role:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a broad curriculum, tailored to meet individual needs.
- Support students to re-engage with education, develop positive learning behaviours and build confidence.
- Plan and adapt teaching for learners with additional needs, barriers to learning and SEMH challenges.
- Build strong, trusting relationships that create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Contribute to bespoke learning programmes that balance academic progress with personal development.
- Work closely with families, referring schools and external professionals to support each student’s journey.
- Take part in fortnightly review meetings, ensuring provision remains responsive and impactful.
- Prepare students for reintegration into mainstream education or next steps, including further education or employment pathways.
- Promote the values of respect, care, equity and partnership in all aspects of school life.
About you:
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with strong classroom practice.
- Experienced in, or highly motivated to work within, an alternative provision or inclusive setting.
- Skilled at delivering adaptive, personalised teaching to meet a wide range of needs.
- A strong communicator, able to build effective relationships with students, families and professionals.
- Patient, resilient and empathetic, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.
- Passionate about behaviour change, re‑engagement and improving life chances.
- Committed to teamworking and reflective practice within a collaborative environment.
- Highly competent in the Teachers’ Standards, with sustained impact if applying for UPS.
About Snowdon Village - Engage:
Snowdon Village – Engage is an early intervention educational provision supporting students from CLF secondary schools. Based at Evergreen Primary School in Bristol, we offer short-term (typically 12-week) placements to re‑engage students with learning, bespoke programmes tailored to individual needs, a strong focus on behaviour, wellbeing and personal development, and a collaborative approach, working closely with families, schools and external professionals.
