About the role
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons that inspire curiosity and promote a love of learning.
- Plan and adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with SEND, EHCPs and additional barriers to learning.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to a bespoke curriculum, using students’ strengths to support progress and personal development.
- Play an active role in learning beyond the classroom, including weekly enrichment activities focused on the historical, cultural and environmental aspects of the local area.
- Support wider opportunities such as land-based learning, animal care and outdoor education, enhancing students’ engagement and real-world understanding of science.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
About you
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Science.
- Experienced, or highly motivated, to work within a SEND or alternative provision setting.
- Skilled in delivering adapted, inclusive teaching that supports a wide range of learning needs.
- A strong communicator who can build trust with students, families and colleagues.
- Patient, resilient and committed to helping every student succeed.
- Passionate about personalised learning, inclusion and improving life chances.
