Your opportunity to make a difference at Snowdon Village – The Nest. We are seeking an inspirational Primary Teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences for children who need support to re‑engage with education. At Snowdon Village – The Nest, you will play a vital role in helping pupils rebuild confidence, develop emotional resilience and rediscover a love of learning. The Nest is a nurture‑based, early intervention provision for primary‑aged pupils who are struggling to thrive in mainstream school, often due to social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs or challenging life experiences. Guided by our ethos of nurture, inclusion and high aspiration, you will create a safe and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued, understood and ready to succeed.

About the role:

• Deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, tailored to individual starting points and needs.
• Support pupils to re‑engage with education, develop positive learning behaviours and build emotional resilience.
• Plan and adapt teaching for learners with SEMH needs, barriers to learning and experiences of trauma.
• Build strong, trusting relationships that create a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment.
• Contribute to bespoke, time‑bound learning programmes that support reintegration into mainstream education.
• Balance academic progress with personal, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with families, schools and external professionals to support each child’s journey.
• Monitor progress and contribute to regular review processes, ensuring provision remains responsive and impactful.
• Promote values of care, respect, equity and partnership in all aspects of school life.

About you:

• A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with strong primary classroom practice.
• Experienced in, or highly motivated to work within, a nurture or inclusive setting.
• Skilled in delivering adaptive, personalised teaching for a wide range of needs.
• A confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
• Patient, resilient and empathetic, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable children.
• Passionate about early intervention, behaviour support and improving life chances.
• Committed to teamwork and reflective practice within a collaborative environment.
• Highly competent in the Teachers’ Standards, with sustained impact if applying for UPS.

About Snowdon Village - Engage: The Nest is a nurture‑based re‑engagement provision for primary‑aged pupils (4–11) who are experiencing difficulties in mainstream school due to social, emotional and mental health needs. It also supports children who may have experienced trauma, instability in their home environment, or other challenges that impact their ability to access learning. As an early intervention provision, The Nest offers bespoke, time‑limited support focused on rebuilding emotional resilience, developing positive learning behaviours and preparing pupils for a successful return to mainstream education. At The Nest, nurture sits at the heart of everything we do. Staff work collaboratively to create a differentiated and aspirational curriculum that challenges and engages every learner. About Snowdon Village Academy: Snowdon Village is a multi‑site, cross‑phase alternative provision that sits within the heart of the CLF. The Snowdon Village sites include The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School. Our primary aim is to meet the needs of children and young adults who have social, emotional and mental health issues by offering a suite of alternatives to mainstream school. Members of Snowdon Village may engage with the provision in a variety of ways, from long‑term residential care to short‑term, part‑time alternatives which complement their existing school experience.
