We're working with a highly respected building services consultancy that is looking to add an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to its growing team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects, lead mechanical design through key project stages, and work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams on high-profile developments.

Benefits for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job:

  • £55,000 basic salary DOE
  • 33 days holiday
  • 38 hour week
  • Flexible working hours but core working hours between 10-4:30
  • Pension up to 9%

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Role:

  • Lead mechanical design across RIBA Stages 24
  • Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, structural, and wider design teams
  • Attend and lead client and project meetings
  • Support design reviews, clash detection, and technical problem-solving
  • Mentor junior engineers and help drive technical excellence
  • Manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and programme deadlines are met

What We're Looking For in the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
  • Around 5+ years' experience within building services design
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and mechanical building services
  • Experience using Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and NBS
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
