Main Duties Will Include

  • Managing multiple concurrent fire alarm installation projects valued at £1m+
  • Full project delivery from initial mobilisation through to handover
  • Administration of projects under JCT Design & Build and Standard Forms of Contract
  • Attending and chairing progress meetings with Main Contractors, consultants and subcontractors
  • Producing and managing project programmes
  • Coordinating labour, site supervisors, commissioning engineers and specialist subcontractors
  • Monitoring procurement schedules and material lead times
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, cause & effect and technical submittals
  • Managing project costs, variations, valuations and change control

What We Are Looking For

To be considered, applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong and stable background in senior fire alarm project delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage variations and protect profitability
  • Strong technical understanding of fire alarm systems and associated life safety interfaces
  • Knowledge of BS5839 and current industry regulations
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Ability to drive projects with minimal supervision

Desirable

  • FIA qualifications
  • SMSTS / CSCS
  • Additional experience with smoke ventilation, disabled refuge, suppression or integrated life safety systems

In Return

Our client is offering: Basic salary of £60,000 - £75,000 depending on experience, car allowance, performance bonus, pension, ongoing career progression into Senior Projects / Contracts Management.
