Car Park Steward in Tamworth

As a Car Park Steward Team Member at SnowDome, you will help guests start their visit with a warm welcome. You will guide drivers to available spaces, support the safe flow of vehicles and pedestrians, and help manage busy arrival and departure periods.

You will work outdoors, communicate clearly with guests and colleagues, and report any hazards or concerns promptly. We are looking for someone who is friendly, alert and confident, giving clear directions while keeping safety and guest experience at the heart of the role.

Job Type: Part-Time, weekends and school holidays

£12.71 per hour - all applicants

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and provide clear, friendly directions to available parking spaces and the SnowDome entrance
• Monitor parking availability and guide vehicles during busy arrival and departure periods.
• When the car park is full, direct guests to the designated alternative parking and explain how to reach the SnowDome from there.
• Help keep vehicle routes, pedestrian walkways, accessible bays and emergency access clear.
• Watch for hazards, unsafe parking or congestion, and report concerns promptly to the Duty Manager
• Assist guests with general questions and direct them to Guest Services when further help is needed.
• Communicate with colleagues to anticipate busy periods and respond to changes in car park capacity.
• Follow SnowDome's safety procedures and wear the required high-visibility clothing while working in the car park.
• Help keep the car park presentable by reporting litter, damage or maintenance issues.

What we're looking for:

• A friendly, helpful approach and confidence speaking with guests.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to give simple directions to drivers and pedestrians.
• Good awareness of surroundings, with the ability to spot hazards and respond promptly.
• A calm, polite manner when managing congestion or directing guests to alternative parking.
• The ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to work during busy periods, including weekends and school holidays.
• The ability to follow safety procedures and work closely with the wider SnowDome team.
• Previous car park or customer service experience would be helpful, but full training will be provided.
