We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Compliance Officer to take full ownership of compliance across both our asset brokerage and consumer finance brokerage.
This is a critical role within the business and will be responsible for ensuring that all activity is conducted in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practice.
As the sole compliance resource in the business, you will be relied upon to build, maintain, and continuously improve our compliance framework.
You will play a central role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the FCA, supporting the business in meeting all regulatory obligations, and embedding a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
This role will also involve delivering internal training, supporting partner training where required, and acting as a trusted advisor to the business on compliance matters.
We are an office based organisation, so are looking for someone who is within easily commutable distance from our offices in the heart of West Byfleet, and less than 5 minutes from the station.
We do not offer sponsorship into the UK as part of this role.
About the Role
Compliance Officer , you will be responsible for overseeing compliance across the full customer and intermediary journey, ensuring that our processes, communications, controls, and reporting remain compliant and effective.
You will work closely with senior leadership, operational teams, sales teams, and external partners to make sure compliance is not just a checkpoint, but a core part of how we operate.
- This is a hands‑on and broad role suited to someone who is confident working independently, able to balance day‑to‑day compliance oversight with longer‑term improvement work, and comfortable taking ownership of a wide range of regulatory responsibilities.
- Job Responsibilities
- Own and manage the compliance framework across both the business.
- Ensure all business processes, documentation, customer journeys, and communications are compliant with FCA requirements, applicable legislation, and internal policies.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of changes on the business, recommending and implementing required updates.
- Oversee accurate and timely regulatory reporting to the FCA and any other bodies.
- Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Review and approve customer‑facing and partner‑facing marketing materials.
- Carry out regular compliance monitoring, file checks, and process reviews, identifying weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Support the business with complaints handling.
- Manage breaches, incidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Support the onboarding and oversight of introducers, lenders, and other third‑party partners.
- Organise and deliver compliance training to colleagues and partners.
- Act as the main point of contact for compliance matters internally and externally.
- Prepare for and support FCA visits, audits, reviews, and information requests.
- Work with leadership to embed a strong culture of compliance and accountability.
