Working Hours: Monday - Friday following an early and late shift rotation with overtime requirement.

Primary Responsibility: Working as Logistics Operator, you will operate manual handling equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, secure and controlled receipt, storage and movement of stock/materials in accordance with company procedures.

Secondary Responsibilities: You will support the Logistics Supervisor in planning and co-ordinating the day-to-day workload of the logistics department to ensure that all warehousing and stores activities including the receipt, storage and distribution of materials and goods run safely and efficiently. This includes acting up to the role of supervisor as required.

As a Logistics Lead Operator, you are accountable for:

  • Providing input into the management of direct reports including recruitment, performance management, reward and recognition, and training and development.
  • Supporting the logistics supervisor in planning, coordinating and deploying resource on-shift to achieve operational goals and objectives, ensuring internal/external customer satisfaction.
  • Working with the logistics supervisor to oversee daily operations and workflow; ensuring delivery On Time and In Full (OTIF) to internal and external customers.
  • Providing holiday/absence cover for the logistics supervisor, including but not limited to being the point of contact for the logistics warehouse.
  • Co-ordinating operational changes/concerns for example; material shortages, defected/damaged parts in the absence of the logistics supervisor.
  • Operating manual handling equipment, ensuring the safe, efficient, secure and controlled receipt, storage and movement of stock/materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintaining SAP MRP by accurately inputting various transactions, record updating and reporting as required.
