- 3 shift rotation including day shift, late shift and night shift
Main assignment:
AsPress Shop Team Leaderyou will oversee day-to-day operations within our press shop. The role is split between hands-on press operation and leadership responsibilities. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met while leading and supporting a team of press operators to achieve operational goals and objectives.
As a Press Shop Team Leader, you are accountable for:
- Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of press shop operatives, providing guidance, support, and on-the-job training.
- Organise daily workload and ensure production schedules are met.
- Conduct start-of-shift briefings and end-of-shift handovers.
- Monitor team performance and report any issues to the senior supervisor.
- Act as first point of contact for press shop issues and escalate when necessary.
- Support continuous improvement and 5S activities on the shop floor.
- Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping standards are maintained across the team.
- Operating all equipment and machinery responsibly by following work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Working to achieve product, process and customer quality standards through awareness, understanding and consistent application of quality processes e.g. visual inspection, intervention process
- Accurate and timely completion of production documentation (e.g housekeeping rota, production works orders)
- First line maintenance of equipment to ensure its effective use.

- Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
