SNI Companies is looking for Medical Assistants to support our client in the Plymouth, MA area! The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of patient care experience and be open to working in Urology. Previous Urology experience is a plus!
90-day Contract to Hire position
Pay Rate: $26.00 - $30.00 an hour (performance based increase after 90-days)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM (in-office)
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:- Triaging patients, collecting vitals and recording information on patients' charts
- Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and completion of lab work
- Perform catheter changes and instruct patients on usage, pessary changes and fittings
- Perform urodynamic studies
- Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction - RIMSO administration
- Setting up procedures as instructed by provider
- Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and escorting patients to their rooms
- Explain treatment and procedures to patients, assist the physician during exams
- May assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance
- Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience
- Active Medical Assistant certification preferred
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA policies
- Strong ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Must be able to remain calm in a busy, stressful situation
- Must be able to pass a background check
