SNG (Sovereign Network Group) – Workday Training Specialist

We are looking for a Workday Training Specialist to join SNG on a fixed-term contract (9–12 months). The role is based in Basingstoke with a hybrid working arrangement.

The Role

In this hands-on position you will use your expertise in Workday training and implementation to design, develop, and deliver training programmes for Workday users across SNG – specifically HR and Finance within Human Capital Management (HCM) and Foundational Data Model (FDM).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Learning & Development colleagues, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to identify training needs and define learning outcomes to support Workday adoption at SNG.
• Utilise the Workday training catalogue to align content with SNG user requirements.
• Develop and deliver engaging training sessions (virtual and in-person) for Workday HCM and FDM modules.
• Create user-friendly training materials – guides, videos, e-learning modules and FAQs – using SNG templates.
• Maintain training documents and resources to reflect the latest system enhancements.
• Design evaluation methods and metrics to assess training effectiveness against learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience designing and delivering tailored Workday training in a similar sized organisation with both HCM and FDM implemented.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Workday functionality and configurations for HR (including all Workday HCM SKUs) and Finance.
• Demonstrated experience training HCM and Finance modules and supporting system implementation.
• Organisation and time-management skills.
• Understanding of LMS, instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
• Knowledge of digital learning tools such as LMS platforms, MS Teams, Articulate or similar.
• Ability to translate complex processes into clear, accessible training content.
