About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Damp & Mould Operative / Building Technician to join our Newbury, Thatcham and Reading team. This role involves carrying out damp and mould remediation works across residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring high-quality standards, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections to identify causes of damp and mould, including condensation, penetrating damp, and rising damp.
  • Carry out mould treatments using approved biocidal and antifungal solutions.
  • Prepare and clean affected surfaces, ensuring safe and effective removal of contamination.
  • Undertake reinstatement works such as painting, sealing, and basic repairs.
  • Complete internal decoration using mould-resistant primers and paints.
  • Carry out general building works including repairs to brickwork, pointing, roofing, drainage and guttering where required.
  • Identify and implement solutions to prevent recurrence, such as improving ventilation and moisture control.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current building regulations and health & safety standards.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet target completion dates and service level agreements.
  • Maintain clear records and provide updates on work progress.
