The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation and Integration, you will act as a subject‑matter expert, interfacing between operational finance teams and change teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively create and provide advice on reporting and Workday best practices to senior stakeholders
  • Take the lead in driving Workday projects and initiatives through to completion with support from the rest of the team
  • Support implementation of the new system, chart of accounts, data reconciliations, reporting and financial planning, including documenting and testing processes and procedures
  • Work with operational colleagues to gain their input and buy‑in, hand‑over when ready, and provide system and reporting support and training
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing ways of working
  • Provide advice ensuring financial implications and controls are fully considered, acting in the best interests of Sovereign Network Group

What we need from you

You should have previous experience implementing Workday, strong report‑writing capability, and understanding of financial planning and analysis. Additional qualifications include:

  • Strong working knowledge of processes and controls around financial processing, accounting, and management accounting preparation
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation and accounting principles for Housing Associations (desirable)
  • Track record of working effectively in a changing and continuously improving environment
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and collaboration experience
  • Highly numerate and computer literate with strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Agresso, SUN Accounting system or other finance systems (desirable)
  • Qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent postgraduate accounting qualification (desirable)
