We are seeking an experienced Damp, Mould & Roofing Technician in our Newbury, Thatcham and Reading area to deliver high-quality remediation and roofing works across residential and/or commercial properties. The role involves diagnosing and resolving damp and mould issues, carrying out mould treatments, undertaking roofing repairs, and completing associated painting and finishing works. You will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standards and target deadlines.
- Inspect properties to identify causes of damp and mould, including roof defects, water ingress, and ventilation issues.
- Carry out effective mould remediation using approved biocidal and antifungal treatments.
- Prepare, clean, and treat affected surfaces to prevent recurrence of mould growth.
- Undertake internal and external painting using mould-resistant coatings and finishes.
- Perform roofing works including repairs to tiles/slates, flashing, guttering, and general roof maintenance.
- Identify and rectify defects contributing to damp issues, ensuring long-term solutions.
- Complete minor building works where required, including basic repairs and reinstatement.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with building regulations, company procedures, and health & safety requirements.
- Manage workload effectively to meet agreed target completion dates and service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report on progress.
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied properties.
