Senior Manager Consumer Insights in Basingstoke

Have you got experience as an investment or financial analyst within Real Estate, Property or Housing? Do you enjoy creating insightful analysis and reporting via Power BI to shape Investment and Development strategies and improve business performance? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Investment and Development (I&D) Analytics team as a Senior Insight Analyst (Investment & Development). Based from either our Basingstoke or Wembley office, you'll share your time between the office and home, as well as some travel being required between our offices.

SNG (Sovereign Network Group) is one of the largest housing associations in the UK, with over 85,000 homes across London and the South of England. We will invest £8.5bn over the next 10 years, building 25,000 new homes, as well as regenerating estates and improving the quality of existing homes.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Investment Analytics Manager, you'll deliver insightful analysis and drive innovation in systemised reporting via Power BI to support Investment and Development strategy, decision making and performance management. Working with key stakeholders in Investment & Development (I&D), Finance and IT teams, you'll work on high-impactful projects such as portfolio analysis, risk analysis, capital allocation, rent analysis, sales analysis, disposals, retrofits and regeneration reporting to support key business decision making.

Main responsibilities include:

• Analysing internal datasets to generate insights that enhance understanding of portfolio performance, asset quality, investment and development pipelines, and overall business performance.
• Defining and analysing external datasets to assess market performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support investment and development decision-making.
• Developing financial insights and reports for I&D Finance teams to strengthen budgetary control and business planning.
• Designing, delivering and maintaining systemised analytics and self-service reporting tools via Power BI to support I&D and Finance stakeholders in improving understanding of the investment and development performance and decision making.
• Scoping detailed project requirements with I&D and Finance stakeholders and translating business requirements into clear and concise technical development specifications.
• Working with data engineers and business owners to create data pipelines for reporting and analytics with the consideration of planned system integrations, transformation and data migration.
• Delivering Power BI data models and reports with the Power BI developers' best practice and compliance with the SNG data policies and procedures. Document the development process to ensure that other Power BI developers can maintain and review the reports.

What we're looking for

You’ll need proven experience in a similar role as an investment or finance insight analyst, ideally in the Real Estate, or broader Investment and Development sectors. You will need strong Power BI reporting experience with advanced data analytics and visualisation skills. You’ll also have:

• Extensive experience in generating financial insights and reports to support decision-making.
• Proven experience in analysing accounting and finance datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex internal and external datasets.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with clear communication and strong collaboration capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving, influencing, and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior management teams.
• A full professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Power BI certification is desirable.
