We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our Property Team in our Basingstoke and North Hampshire locality. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.
As a skilled Painter/Decorator you will mainly carry out all forms of repairs and decoration in our properties, and elsewhere in accordance with work schedules:
- Stripping off old wallpaper or paint.
- Filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are rubbed back and prepared to a high standard before decorating.
- Preparing surfaces including timber with primer and undercoat.
- Other duties to include patch plastering, tiling and other general maintenance tasks.
You should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Painting & Decorating OR have at least 5 years experience within this core trade. You will have basic plastering and tiling knowledge and experience of delivering these aspects.
This is a full time role, so you must be available to work 40 hours per week. Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van. This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic DBS disclosure.
