Take the next step in your finance career by becoming a key contributor to our busy, collaborative team. As our Finance Assistant, you’ll support the finance team with a variety of day‑to‑day tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with both Finance and Sales to help manage the group’s receivables ledgers, ensuring information is accurate and up to date and also play a key part in meeting KPI targets by monitoring customer accounts, updating cash‑flow forecasts, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable & Ledger Management
  • Ownership of receivables ledger for all Branches/Regions
  • Credit Control & Debt Management
  • Liaising with Heads of Sales to ensure customers pay within terms
  • Keep overdue debt to agreed KPI’s by following up on overdue invoices via emails and phone calls
  • Perform credit checks for new customers and credit limit changes
  • Reporting & Forecasting
  • Help with daily sales reporting
  • Customer Billing & Queries
  • Ensure customer statements sent promptly each month
  • Deal with all customer invoice/payment queries efficiently
  • Banking & Reconciliations
  • Help the finance team with bank reconciliations
  • Deal with customer refunds
  • Systems & Payment Processing
  • Importing sales data onto accounting system
  • Accounts Payables
  • Annual leave support for accounts payable team

Skills & Qualifications

  • AAT Studier/Qualified desirable but not required
  • Competent user of Sage desirable but not required
  • Competent MS Excel skills
  • Initiative and dedication, with a can‑do attitude
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Able to consistently produce high volumes of accurate work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Always promotes continuous improvement within the organisation
