AtkinsRéalis are currently embarked on an exciting journey to become the global leader in providing Decommissioning & Waste Management services. We are looking for creative individuals who want to shape these teams on a global scale. Successful candidates will be based out of our Rutherford House (Whitehaven) office, but on the client site, delivering high hazard decommissioning working as part of a multi-discipline team. There is an expectation to support other team members outside this specific discipline where the need arises.
Your role
- Be part of a multi-disciplinary team of over 150 waste, radiation protection, delivery and environmental professionals providing support to Construction projects across the UK.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings with key personnel including the client.
- Complete hazard screening sheets from information provided by key personnel.
- Have the ability to produce adequate Risk Assessments for construction tasks/projects.
- Provide advice and guidance on the production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Ability to co-ordinate multiple resources.
- Provide project updates and forecast internally/externally.
- Act promptly on non-compliance issues/participate in investigations where required.
- Represent project at Stakeholder meetings.
- Coach and mentor junior members of the team, including graduates and apprentices.
- Support other team members, sharing knowledge and experience.
- Responsible for the safe delivery of specified site-based work packages.
- Ability to reach SQEP status.
About you
- Nuclear Construction Decommissioning/Waste Management Experience.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and flexible in approach, must be willing to travel to work on client sites as required.
- IOSH Working Safely. CSCS NVQ level 3 as a minimum. NEBOSH General/Construction desirable.
- Interpersonal skills, able to build and develop relationships internally and externally.
- Maintain excellent relationships with our customers and suppliers.
