Join AtkinsRealis Decommissioning as a Safety Adviser, where you will play a key role in supporting the Health & Safety Manager and project teams to create, deliver and maintain a safe working environment. You will be motivated by making a genuine difference, encouraging challenge without blame, and embedding safety at the heart of everything we do across our decommissioning activities - leaving nothing to chance.

Your role:

  • Visibly championing Health & Safety through regular engagement with site and office-based teams.
  • Supporting projects to plan and deliver work safely, providing practical and trusted H&S advice.
  • Overseeing the implementation of Organisational Standards relating to H&S, supporting investigations, reporting, and reviews of H&S policies, procedures and standards.
  • Be committed to continuous improvement by scheduling and conducting audits, inspections and H&S conversations.
  • Delivering in-house H&S and Human Performance training in a clear and engaging way.
  • Working collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders across projects.

You’ll enjoy managing your own time, learning through real-world experience, and developing your career with the support of structured training and professional development. You’ll also be motivated by the opportunity to liaise with multiple stakeholders and really be an advocate for H&S across the decommissioning business.

About you:

  • A genuine interest in Health & Safety and creating psychologically safe workplaces.
  • A proactive, pragmatic approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, such as Joint Venture (JV) projects.
  • Willingness to work towards recognised Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH).
  • A current CSCS card (or equivalent) and a full UK driving Licence.
  • Flexibility to work across client sites, the Westlakes office, and to travel nationally when required.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
