The successful applicant will be a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist with a degree in civil engineering or geology/geoscience and a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnical subject. You will hold or be close to holding chartered status. Candidates will be part of teams where your contributions matter, and you can build strong collaborative relationships working on a diverse range of strategic projects across the infrastructure and energy sectors.

A good academic background with a degree in civil engineering or geology/geoscience and a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnical subject.

  • A good understanding of ground investigation techniques and geotechnical design experience of structures, foundations and earthworks.
  • Experience in general numerical software such as Geostudio, Repute, Wallap, etc.
  • Chartered status or nearing Chartered status.
  • Experience of working in a fast‑moving engineering consultancy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
  • Excellent report‑writing skills with the ability to self‑check and produce accurate work.
  • A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.
  • A valid UK driving licence.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
