Are you ready to shape the future of nuclear across the UK, Europe and the Middle East? AtkinsRéalis Nuclear is on a growth trajectory—doubling revenue over the next five years—and we are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to help us get there.
Your role blends analytical precision with strategic influence. You will be a trusted business partner from the earliest stages of opportunity development for clients —crafting compelling commercial offers and guiding them through governance. You will help shape our evolving commercial model, which spans consultancy, digital products, and complex project/programme delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Bid & Contract Leadership: Lead client contract reviews and negotiations in coordination with Legal and corporate functions. Lead or support the formation of joint ventures with consultants, contractors, and manufacturers, including negotiating NDAs, MOUs, and consortium and joint venture agreements. Develop pricing and contractual terms for complex bids that drive sustainable growth, bringing an understanding of commercial delivery models e.g. open book contracting, incentivisation etc. Own escalated approvals and governance processes.
- Strategic Initiatives: Build business cases and commercial models for new markets, technologies, and M&A opportunities. Support commercialisation of new services and digital products e.g. value and outcomes pricing.
- Governance & Risk: Act as an independent bid and project reviewer. Resolve disputes and claims (project, insurance, etc.). Deliver key elements of the Commercial function business improvement roadmap.
- Training & Mentorship: Design and deliver commercial training programs. Influence decision‑makers and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent.
- Experience in contract review, negotiation, bidding, governance, and project finance.
- Experience in one of: joint venture formation/management with consultants, contractors, and manufacturers; project delivery as part of a civil/process contractor organisation, or the commercialisation of new services/products.

Security clearance
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
