Your role

  • Lead the commercial delivery of major and complex infrastructure projects and programmes across sectors including transportation, aviation, energy, utilities, water, and defence.
  • Provide strategic commercial leadership, ensuring excellence in governance, financial performance, risk management, resource planning, and project controls.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key infrastructure clients, acting as a trusted advisor at senior stakeholder and executive levels.
  • Drive business growth through effective client engagement, work-winning activities, framework opportunities, and strategic bid leadership.
  • Collaborate with regional and national teams to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions for complex project environments.
  • Support the development and implementation of the London Complex Projects growth strategy, identifying emerging market trends and opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop commercial professionals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and delivery excellence.
  • Champion digital solutions, continuous improvement, quality assurance, and sustainability objectives across project delivery.

About you

  • Significant experience leading commercial, cost management, or quantity surveying services on major infrastructure projects and programmes within the UK.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects while managing commercial risk, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management skills, with the ability to secure repeat and new business opportunities.
  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure procurement routes, commercial strategies, and programme delivery models.
  • Strong experience administering and advising on NEC contracts, with JCT experience considered beneficial.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing and developing high-performing teams within a consultancy environment.
  • Chartered professional status (MRICS/FRICS or equivalent) with excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for innovation, digital transformation, and driving best practices across major project delivery.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
