AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Construction / Site Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of construction activities across our infrastructure projects. This role is critical to ensuring site operations are fully compliant, well coordinated, and aligned with project objectives, acting as the Principal Contractor’s site representative where required.
Your Role
- Provide leadership across site establishment, construction execution, and project assurance, working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Manage site activities to ensure delivery against safety, quality, cost, and programme targets while maintaining strong working relationships across all parties.
- Lead site establishment activities, including compounds, welfare facilities, and site logistics.
- Act as the Principal Contractor’s representative on site, serving as the primary point of contact for client site-based activities.
- Ensure compliance with AtkinsRéalis construction procedures, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate construction activities across AtkinsRéalis teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Implement and maintain assurance plans, including safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance monitoring.
- Ensure permits, licenses, access arrangements, and Safe Systems of Work are in place before works commence.
- Support project delivery inputs including planning, pricing, constructability reviews, surveys, and work package documentation.
- Coordinate with Testing & Commissioning, Track Access Planning, and logistics teams.
- Implement the HOTT process and support handover activities.
- Support commercial management through cost, programme, and change control reviews.
- Undertake Responsible Manager duties where required in accordance with NR/L2/OHS/019.
- Manage, assess, mentor, and develop site staff, including competence assessments and performance reviews.
About you
- Proven experience in construction management within complex infrastructure or rail environments.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality, and assurance processes.
- Experience acting as Principal Contractor or managing Principal Contractor responsibilities.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Competent in cost, programme, and change management processes.
- Relevant construction, engineering, or safety qualifications (or equivalent experience).
