Information Management as a function is becoming increasingly important in ensuring that our clients get the right information in the right format at the right time, but also that we improve our internal working practices to be as efficient and effective as possible. We are seeking a seasoned employee to lead on one or more of our larger programmes and projects, whilst providing support, guidance and expertise to the wider information management team, broader delivery teams, and clients. We are seeking a senior-level Information Manager with extensive industrial experience to join our team. This role combines elements of similar roles of Digital / BIM Lead, BIM Manager, CAD Manager, Document Control Lead, Systems Administrator, normally leading or coordinating projects of medium to large scale. The role involves not only undertaking an Information Manager role at a programme or project level but also playing a crucial part in the development of our internal functional team capabilities. You will be expected to use your existing skills and experience to drive improvements into our ways of working, both within the IM team and broader delivery teams, including to make the best use of our internal IM & digital services, to help us exceed client expectations.
- Provide leadership and direction to engineering delivery projects as the Information Manager on projects or programmes of a large to significant scale (>£1bn), following the ISO19650 process and AtkinsRéalis internal standards methods and procedures.
- Document the strategy and approach to the implementation of BIM and information management specific to project requirements and aspirations ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Ensure project teams (internal and external) are aware of and trained in the application of information management standards, methods, and procedures being applied.
- Draft and maintain project level reports on the implementation of BIM and Information Management.
- Drive the application, development and maintenance of business processes relating to information management (including application of BS EN ISO 19650).
- Deliver positive outcomes on projects, ensuring benefits are realised and success measured through the application of IM and facilitation of our wider digital services.
- Win work: Lead and develop proposals for discrete services of the team and contribute to proposals offering SME guidance on strategy, direction, approach around ways of working in IM related discipline areas.
- Deliver work: Consistently deliver work to a high standard, building trust and rapport with delivery teams, developing plans of work and resourcing needs, managing progress and expectations, and driving high standards throughout project teams which you lead.
- Grow team and personal brand: Network internally and externally, develop collateral, and represent the team, promote BIM and IM best practice and our standards adherence through the creation and delivery of educational and awareness materials.
- Develop insights: stay aware of common industry trends and issues, typical customer needs, and available solutions or technology. Capture lessons learned and inform continuous improvement. Help lead and develop new and innovative internal capabilities.
- Grow people: Develop and manage direct project reports as a both a project team lead, ensuring workloads are balanced, deadlines met, and responsibilities fulfilled. Contribute to a feedback culture aimed at development of your personal and team capability. Role model positive professional behaviours. Coach and develop others in the team, including developing skills and knowledge in IM.

Experience:
- More than a decade of experience in the nuclear sector or other heavy industries, ideally in an organization similar to AtkinsRéalis. Able to prove a history of success in the implementation of IM / BIM on projects.
- Exceptional knowledge and demonstrable application of Information Management / BIM, and their role in enabling broader digital transformation.
- Relevant background or education in STEM, library sciences, computer sciences, or other related fields.
