Join our Building Design practice, a multi-disciplinary practice leading innovation in the creation, design and delivery of high-performance buildings. We work for clients in the UK and internationally providing multi-disciplinary services for new build, retrofit and repurposing building design projects. You’ll make a tangible difference to our future in projects across our key sectors of Buildings & Places, Energy, Defence, Transportation, High Value Manufacturing, Logistics and Data Centres. As the Practice Manager for our Building Services team in the North, Scotland and Northern Ireland region you will be based in our offices in either Manchester, Leeds or Glasgow reporting to the Regional Practice Director and responsible for leading a practice of talented Building Services engineering professionals.**Your purpose:***Strategy** Collaborate with senior leadership to align national discipline efforts and influence Building Design strategy.* Promote high-quality, multi-disciplinary project delivery through technical best practice and process optimisation.*Technical Excellence** Champion technical excellence and integrated multi-discipline project delivery across regions.* Ensure project performance, quality, and compliance with our Company Management System, while supporting Project Managers and Project Directors and leading delivery when needed.*Working Winning** Lead regional and national work winning through client relationships and strategic bidding across markets.* Drive service line transformation and support innovation through digital tools and sustainability-focused change.*Workforce Planning** Support workforce planning, skills development, and recruitment to meet headcount and diversity goals.* Build agile teams using permanent staff, contingent resources, and global delivery centres aligned to workload.*People Leadership** Build agile teams using permanent staff, contingent resources, and global delivery centres aligned to workload.* Line manage local leaders, ensuring performance management and growth opportunities are effectively delivered.**What you can bring:*** Experience of leading a Building Services Engineering team to successfully win and deliver major buildings/infrastructure design projects.* Strong and effective communicator and listener, always promoting inclusivity* Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, showing empathy and understanding in meeting business needs.
