Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal Civil Maritime Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in every aspect of maritime engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of maritime engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy and Cities & Development. We continue to provide industry-leading maritime solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom, Peterborough, Bristol, and Glasgow offices.
Your Purpose:
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
- Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment.
- Knowledge in the civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure supporting port operations, the berthing and mooring of vessels and the transit of people and goods around the globe.
- Working experience with current UK and European design standards including BS6349.
- Proficiency in the use of and designing with appropriate FEA packages.
