Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the client team and liaise with leadership, project managers, contractors, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure delivery within budget.
- Validate and manage contractor and supplier costs and payments.
- Provide regular input to financial reports to give clients confidence in project outcomes.
- Present financial performance and risk updates.
- Assist with procurement or support the procurement team in evaluating and appointing contractors.
- Administer various contract types, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
- Manage contract changes, reviewing validity, quotations and ensuring timely submissions and agreements.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain accurate and comprehensive project records.
- Identify, analyse, and mitigate commercial risks.
- Assist in value engineering to optimise project performance.
- Encourage development and advance the careers of colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Member or working towards membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent recognised body.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- Experience in civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience with common UK construction contracts such as NEC, ICC, FIDIC, or JCT.
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
