We are a AJ100 top 8 Architecture and Master planning practice, an RIBA Registered Practice, employing over 450 Architectural staff across the UK working on projects across the globe. The ideal candidate will have a RIBA Part 3 qualification, be ARB registered with demonstrable 5-10 years' experience on a wide range of complex projects at different stages with a good understanding of the UK Building Regulations. Experience should range across different sectors working directly with the client, contractor and multi-disciplinary design teams.
The desired individual will understand the design process and have the ability to deliver this from concept into detail design, understanding how to identify and design key details, through to completion.
Understanding detail for compliance requirements e.g., building regulations and working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction types will be required for this role.
We are looking for individuals who can consistently contribute to the successful delivery of projects with varying levels of complexity and ranging in size from small, medium and large-scale. Consistency and accuracy in all work produced is highly desired for this role. Candidates should have experience with working with external stakeholders, client and contractor teams.
The candidate for this role will be required to take responsibility for specific roles, areas or packages of work within a project and recognise the importance of the project budget and seeks to develop their knowledge of project finances.
Supporting and mentoring staff through Part 1 and 2 is fundamental to this role. Coaching junior staff on projects and reviewing work to help drive the design quality and output.
The personal qualities required from the applying candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, organised and efficient with attention to detail. Ability to work with agility, effectively, efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines and comfortable working in a leading multi-disciplinary practice on large national based teams as well as the Studio team based in Newcastle.
Working alongside the Studio lead and leadership team, the candidate will have a desire to support the development, profile and growth of the Studio in region and support in the day-to-day management of the studio and activities to continue to nurture the design culture at AtkinsRealis.
