Are you ready to take up a vital role in shaping some of our exciting projects? How about joining our talented team, where everyone has a voice, and together we face our clients' problems head‑on. We are recruiting an individual for our Movement & Place (Transport Planning) discipline to provide transport modelling support across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, working on a range of Local Transport Plans and national scale projects to address bus, rail, road, active travel and public realm interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transport modelling support to deliver a range of projects.
  • Collaborate with specialists from across the business in multi‑disciplinary teams on flagship regeneration, development and infrastructure projects.
  • Offer strategic advice to clients on modelling requirements and guide modelling teams in developing and applying complex models.
  • Work under pressure to meet time and budget constraints while delivering on project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, numeracy and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong report‑writing capability.
  • Sound technical competence and confidence as a team worker capable of working independently.
  • Experience of working to time and budget constraints.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Using strategic modelling packages such as CUBE, SATURN, EMME/2 and VISUM across highway or other modes.
  • Demand modelling.
  • Economic evaluation of transport schemes using COBA and/or TUBA.
