AtkinsRealis has a strong track record of delivering major infrastructure programmes across the region and has recently secured flagship industry opportunities, including Heathrow Expansion, alongside an established and diverse portfolio. We are seeking experienced scheduling professionals to join our PMO teams and support the effective planning and delivery of complex infrastructure programmes.
The Scheduler plays a tactical, delivery‐focused role, responsible for the development, maintenance, and assurance of detailed programme and construction schedules. Working closely with delivery teams, the Scheduler builds robust, logic‐driven schedules in Primavera P6 that reflect how work will be executed on the ground and provide a reliable basis for performance reporting and control. The role sits within the PMO and provides the technical scheduling foundation that supports programme leadership, controls, and decision‐making across a portfolio of major programmes.
Your role
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed schedules in Primavera P6, aligned to programme and construction activities.
- Work closely with delivery teams, contractors, and workstream leads to capture scope, sequencing, logic, and constraints.
- Ensure schedules are fully logic‐linked, resource‐ and cost‐informed where required, and aligned to agreed baselines.
- Undertake progress updates, critical path analysis, and schedule impact assessment.
- Support the identification of risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions through schedule analysis.
- Produce clear schedule outputs and data to support programme reporting and assurance activities.
- Maintain schedule quality, consistency, and data integrity in line with programme controls standards.
About you
- Proven experience producing and managing detailed schedules on large infrastructure or construction programmes.
- Strong technical knowledge of Primavera P6, including schedule logic, baselining, progress updating, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and delivery methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with delivery teams to develop realistic and achievable schedules.
- Infrastructure project experience is essential.
- Aviation experience preferred; experience in transport, water, or energy sectors is also suitable.
Additional Requirements
London‐based role, with the ability to travel to client sites a minimum of three days per week, typically outside London. Flexibility to support a portfolio of major programmes as delivery priorities evolve.
