Our Strategic Advisory team partners with public sector infrastructure clients to help them navigate through complexity, solving problems and defining strategies, informed by deep domain knowledge across AtkinsRéalis to ensure success. Join us to help us achieve our vision to grow our services with our key Transportation clients, and to support our wider ambitions for growth in this area across UK&I. You'll be part of a small team, leading our collaborative work with our Transportation markets, practices, partners, and with other Divisions, to build our relationships, credibility, and revenue. Your strategic insight, ability to build strong relationships, and problem-solving skills that can help clients navigate complex problems, will help us build a successful strategic advisory service offer.

Your role

  • Work with the Strategic Advisory Directors and our Market leadership teams to identify opportunities and build relationships with clients in one or more of the following sectors: Rail, Strategic Roads, Devolved Administrations, DfT, Local Government, Mayoral Strategic Authorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior UK clients, building trust and credibility.
  • Work with practices to identify appropriate resources for strategic advisory projects.
  • Lead small and medium sized bids as the Bid Director, determining partnering needs, developing win themes, writing responses, and developing commercial models, or provide support to Directors on large, more complex bids.
  • Lead small or medium sized strategic advisory projects as the Project Director, managing client relationship, leading the team, and ensuring the project achieves its targets, or provide support to Directors on large, more complex projects.
  • Provide thought leadership and influence to inform policy decisions of Government and public sector clients.

About you

  • Experience of shaping and growing strategic advisory services.
  • Experience of managing relationships and influencing at C-Suite level with UK public sector clients.
  • Experience of providing strategic advice to infrastructure clients, including helping them solve complex problems, undertake strategic business planning, develop investment strategies, and creating a clear and compelling narrative to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience of working alongside strategic partners, such as Big 4 accountancy firms, SMEs, and strategy houses, to achieve clients outcomes.
  • Experience of leading multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic solutions to clients.
  • Experience of developing thought leadership and influencing thinking and UK policy.
  • Experience of working directly with clients in uncertain environments, shaping and influencing decisions, and achieving key targets such as agreed outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Experience of leading projects to meet key targets, including safety, wellbeing, revenue, and margin.
