Transform our Urban Legacy. We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Hydrogeologist specialising in contaminated land and brownfield development and/or engineering hydrogeology to join our Sustainable Land and Resource Management Practice. Based in either our Exeter, Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, Epsom or London office (with flexible hybrid working), you will be part of an award-winning group of hydrogeology and contaminated land experts delivering innovative brownfield solutions to major UK infrastructure projects, across the transportation, energy, buildings and places and water markets. Your Role
- Provide digital and technical input to projects supporting the delivery of contaminated land and hydrogeological projects, including site investigation design and interpretation, development of robust conceptual site models, controlled waters risk assessments, numerical modelling and design reports.
- Organising, supervising and checking site works (including contractors) and the preparation and management of appropriate H&S requirements.
- Production and checking of groundwater models relating to groundwater flow, contamination transport, engineering hydrogeology and civil engineering challenges.
- Preparation of relevant Environmental Impact Assessment chapters for a wide range of projects.
- Support the preparation of proposals and bids for multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Maintain excellent professional relationships which will lead to and secure repeat business.
- Developing own competence and maintain CPD necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the role, with support from the business on own training and development needs.
About You
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g. hydrogeology, geology, chemistry, environmental science).
- MSc or PhD in hydrogeology or related subject is preferable.
- Actively working towards chartership Chartered Membership of relevant professional body.
- Experienced in designing and managing ground investigations including managing health and safety requirements as well as technical report writing.
- Working knowledge of groundwater modelling packages such as P20, ConSim, RAM, MODFLOW, FEFLOW, SEEP/W.
- Be a digital innovator: experience of handling large data sets, developing graphic representations of data or finding new digital ways of working.
- Full UK driving licence.
