Location: Global role (Preferred locations Canada, US, UK).

We’re hiring for a role within our Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) team. Join our agile team of marketers and digital communicators. We act as trusted advisors to the business, delivering regional and global campaigns which support growth in all the regions we operate in across the nuclear sector.

In this role, you will report to the Global VP of Marketing and Digital Communications and work hand in hand with the Global Nuclear Communications and Marketing Business Partner and a broader team of communications and marketing professionals. The Head of Global Marketing Communications for the Nuclear sector is responsible for planning, developing, and executing integrated marketing communication strategies that enhance brand awareness, support business objectives, and drive engagement across multiple channels. Your work will directly contribute to business growth, brand positioning and attracting and retaining talent across the global Nuclear sector.

To succeed, you’ll need a strong understanding of the global Nuclear and/or energy market, including its competitive landscape and client environment. You’ll map stakeholders, identify profiling opportunities, and define a tactical calendar that includes content planning and industry trade shows aligned with the Nuclear sector growth priorities. You’ll also take a hands-on role in delivering activities in collaboration with specialists across the Communications and Marketing function.

Your role:

  • Working with the Global Nuclear Business Partner, create and implement a global nuclear marketing communications plan which aligns with the global nuclear business objectives and regional priorities.
  • Ensure messaging and content consistency across all regions while allowing for local market adaptation.
  • Use market insights, customer feedback and perceptions to differentiate all marketing activities - driving brand positioning, business goals, and market growth.
  • Collaborate with business, market and capability teams and subject matter experts to communicate client value propositions, products, and services to target audiences.
  • Develop, lead, and manage campaign content across the nuclear sector utilising integrated channels, including digital marketing, social media, podcasts, thought leadership, client-facing assets, and events.
  • Work with regional team members to align all marketing communications deliverables to overarching global plans, ensuring all global campaigns are aligned within the regions and targeted to the local market and specific audiences.
  • Deliver regional growth campaigns and bid positioning plans, gather regional proof points and showcase across our channels.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal and external communications colleagues to provide an enterprise view and delivery approach to all our projects and campaigns.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on marketing communications best practice to the nuclear business.
  • Work in conjunction with the digital marketing, social media and web estate team to ensure consistency in message, excellent quality content which is suitable for the channels and audiences.
  • Lead and guide the geographically distributed Nuclear marketing communications team.
  • Manage marketing communications resource ensuring they are connected to the wider global team, agile, motivated, engaged, effectively developed and coached in their work and careers.
  • Engage stakeholders regularly, gather feedback, and conduct reviews.
  • Build strong partnership with our internal creative team, developing new ways for delivering content and events.
  • Report, measure, and evaluate all content and channels per the global reporting cycle, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage allocated budget effectively, including associated agency relationships and budgets.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Significant experience of leadership within a marketing communications function with a track record of growing capability, driving best practice and continuous improvement as well as attracting and developing talent.
  • Ability to think strategically, see the big picture, and align with broader company objectives.
  • Ability to demonstrate success in similar marketing communications leadership roles, with global or multi region responsibility.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work effectively within a team as well as independently, and comfortable engaging with diverse personality styles and management levels—both in person and across states/geographies.
  • Global strategic thinking and ability to manage complexity across markets.
  • Strong managerial skills. Ability to coach, mentor and guide all team members, direct and indirect reports.
  • Expertise in cross-cultural communication and localization strategies.
  • Strong initiative and confidence to propose, develop, share, and execute ideas.
  • Exceptional project management and prioritization skills; organized and detail-oriented.
  • End-to-end event management experience, including industry conferences and client events.
  • Focused on measuring performance and making data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to report to and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • The drive and determination to deliver excellent outcomes in a deadline-driven environment whilst maximising return on investment.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with remote teams.
  • Full fluency in English, including speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with keen attention to detail.

Additional Information:

  • Position based in Canada, US or UK.
  • Hybrid schedule: minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
  • Some travel required.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
