Due to continued growth in the workload of our successful Water business, we seek to recruit assistant/graduate consultants within our London & South East region to support our service delivery. You will join a collaborative and multi‐disciplinary team of engineers, modellers, GIS specialists and technicians providing utility masterplanning services, clean water & wastewater modelling, drainage design, SuDS and surface water management to a range of clients including water companies, local authorities and developers across the UK and internationally.

Your role

  • Deliver technical solutions on UK and international projects across several utilities, including clean water, wastewater, irrigation, stormwater management & power.
  • Provide technical support integrating various software including GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Scalgo to deliver solutions and innovate.
  • Analyse, interpret and report on utility infrastructure and provision to provide climate resilient, future-proofed solutions embedding industry best-practice.
  • Collaborate with intermediate & senior engineers and project managers within a multi-disciplinary team, coordinating with masterplanning teams, structural and geotechnical engineers & transport planners in dynamic working environments.
  • Produce graphics to visually communicate utility strategy to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Interpret and manage complex & unstandardised data sets from clients.
  • Support the preparation of project stage presentations, concept & detailed master plans, stage reports, and related technical documentation.
  • Opportunity to gain experience in clean water & wastewater modelling, drainage design, and surface water management (including SuDS).

About you

  • BSc/BEng/MEng degree level: Civil, Water Resources, Geography, GIS, Environmental, Engineering related subject from an accredited university, preferably with a specialisation in utilities or GIS software.
  • Strong foundations in technical software, familiarity of GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
  • Proven track record interpreting data and producing solutions using GIS or similar software.
  • Proactively innovate utilising technical software.
  • Experience operating in multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Experience producing visual aids and graphics to communicate solutions & design.
  • A natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions for our clients.
