Job Summary: Atkins is the UK’s largest engineering consultancy and is a leading player in all of the major engineering sectors. In order to ensure our continued success, our specialist Transportation division are currently recruiting for an experienced and seasoned Facilities & Logistics Manager to join the business, within the Rail business, to ensure all of our projects facilities and logistics services are provided to CDM standards in an effective manner and to current best practice.
Requirements:

- An informed knowledge of lift plans and temporary works.
- Relevant Facilities and Logistics Qualification and/or professional membership (BIFM Level 4, NEBOSH, IWFM).
Maintain, update and publish documentation relating to Health and Safety Documents, Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, Procedures and Reports.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the facilities and logistics teams for maximum efficiency and effectiveness for the projects serviced.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for all areas of responsibility such that whilst the service levels on projects increases significantly, costs are reduced to a minimum.
- Maintain staff discipline and accountability.
- Manage available resources such that productivity is above that set by the Construction Management Practice.
- Apply the same skill set to any Transportation business stream requiring a Facilities & Logistics Management service.
- Attend training courses and progress skills to promote your own advancement and to raise the Company profile.
- Be the lead on sustainable and environmental initiatives to reducing CO2 emissions within the sector.
- Be a member of the rail industry net zero group adding value and initiatives.
- Conduct site visit inspections and reports on the welfare sites.
- Investigate new sustainable products in the market with a view to trialling, testing and reporting on any other duties commensurate with Facilities & Logistics Management activities.
