The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Environmental Consultant to join our team in the Newcastle, Stockton or Leeds office. This role is part of our Sustainable Land and Resource Management (SLRM) team, delivering a growing portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Organise, supervise and check site works (including contractors) and prepare and manage H&S requirements.
  • Act as NEC4 Site Supervisor providing digital and technical input to projects supporting contaminated land, including site investigation design and interpretation, and development of robust conceptual site models.
  • Work with contaminated land technical leads and other disciplines to win, deliver and manage geo‑environmental projects, and develop trusted client relationships.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulators, sub‑contractors and internal disciplines.
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines in the SLRM team and beyond, delivering projects related to groundwater and contaminated land.
  • Maintain excellent professional relationships to secure repeat business.
  • Develop own competence and maintain CPD needed for the role, with support from the business for training and development needs.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, environmental science).
  • MSc in a science subject or related subject (preferred).
  • Actively working toward chartership and Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Relevant post‑graduate experience.
  • Experience designing and managing ground investigations, managing health and safety requirements, and technical report writing.
  • Experience in the NEC4 Site Supervisor role.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Security Clearance

This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will depend on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of UK residency of 5 years or longer.
