The Role: We are seeking an experienced Global Design Manager to oversee our team in India, with the role being based between the UK and Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative background with previous experience in a Creative Leadership role. This role is responsible for overseeing the quality of work produced by our design team in India while building and sustaining strong stakeholder relationships. You will be part of the Creative Design leadership team with a strategic mindset, possess operational expertise, and be responsible for the India strategy; reporting regularly on progress, projects and delivery.

We’re seeking a proactive leader who inspires, understands the cultural landscape in India, and effectively bridges communication between our UK and India teams to ensure seamless and consistent delivery. You will actively contribute ideas to enhance our project offering and overall business operations, driving improvements in creativity, processes, and strategic direction.

You will be a strategic, results-oriented creative, skilled at assessing both short- and long-term goals for Creative Design and identifying innovative approaches to accomplish them. This role can be based out of Birmingham, London, Manchester or Bristol – with your time being split between the UK and Bangalore, India on a regular basis.

Ensuring quality is of a high standard and that the India team works as part of the global resource and processes. Leading and mentoring team members at all levels - directing and motivating others and helping them to believe in your ideas. Strategic team growth through candidate screening and engaging with new ways to attract the best talent.

What you can bring: Strong understanding of design principles, creative processes, and project management. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – experience with working with global teams and understanding different cultures and time zones. Ability to travel to India regularly and confidently communicate with the team and stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Ability to identify, develop and implement strategic plans to enhance quality and efficiency. Experience in managing operational aspects of a creative team. Quality control with a meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Familiarity with design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Ability to analyse data and derive actionable insights.
