Job Overview

Atkins Réalis is one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary consultancy firms.

We are looking for an experienced environmental coordinator to join our team in Scotland, with preference for those based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

This role offers flexible working and a chance to lead EIA projects for key clients in the energy, transport and defence sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of environmental work by multidisciplinary teams, including EIA studies, options appraisals and environmental management.
  • Champion high standards of environmental performance within engineering projects, influencing development and delivering optimal outcomes.
  • Collate, edit and prepare clear, well‑written reports from a range of sources.
  • Produce own work to an excellent standard and review the work of others, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Manage client needs confidently and professionally.
  • Support bid preparation and develop new business opportunities for the team.
  • Undertake CPD in accordance with the requirements of the chosen professional institute.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or Masters) in an environmental or science subject.
  • Chartered status.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise.
  • Experience of leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering sustainable outcomes.
  • Flexibility to work from various Atkins Réalis or client offices.
