Role Overview: The role is to contribute to the design of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (ECI) systems solutions for AtkinsRéalis clients, ranging from simple hard‑wired systems to complex programmable multi‑panel systems used in safety‑critical contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost‑effective engineering design solutions and deliver high‑quality customer service.
  • Operate within engineering project teams for AtkinsRéalis or directly for clients as required.
  • Ensure successful delivery of engineering works to agreed time, quality, budget and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Specify, design and implement PLC, DCS and SCADA based control systems.
  • Specify and design instrumentation systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Capable of working on diverse projects under senior supervision within a team.
  • Knowledge and experience of control systems, electrical control equipment and their application in automated and safety‑related systems.
  • Experience in the design, substantiation, verification & validation and safety of high‑integrity software‑based protection and/or safety‑related control systems.
  • Working toward Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.

Security Clearance: This role may require security clearance. Employment offers are contingent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by the United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of UK residency for five years or longer. Candidates should not reference or include details of any current or previously held security clearance in their application or CV.
