This role is an excellent opportunity for a developing civil engineer to build strong technical capability and broaden experience across a range of civil infrastructure projects in defence, education, public realm, aviation and more.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of small to medium infrastructure projects as part of a technically focused design team.
- Produce designs for projects in accordance with relevant design standards and codes.
- Ensure the provision of efficient and high‑quality engineering services.
- Effectively manage own time and workload.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary design team and comply with Quality and Technical Assurance procedures.
- Work within BIM standards, digital plan of work, and the project BIM execution plan.
- Support statutory approvals, technical consents and planning submissions required to deliver projects across the UK, with occasional international contributions.
Qualifications
- Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or HND or equivalent experience.
- Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE).
- Experience in the design and analysis of drainage, utilities, paved/unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibility, and construction logistics.
- Experience with current UK design standards and working practices.
- Good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
- Ability to use AutoCAD, CIVIL 3D and Revit BIM 360; experience with Infodrainage or Flow for hydraulic modelling and automated swept‑path analysis within AutoCAD is desirable.
- Proactive, cooperative, and helpful attitude towards colleagues and clients.

This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
