About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially focused sales leader to champion our Asset & Information (A&IM) Management services within the Water Market. While a level of technical proficiency in asset and information management is important, this role is primarily about connecting clients to our services and experts, driving market growth, and directing strategic engagement.
Working within the practice, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with:
- Market Team and Client Directors to understand client needs, assess market potential, and identify the capabilities required to meet demand.
- Technical experts to provide the solutions that our clients require.
This candidate will be a recognised presence in the industry, bringing a strong network of client relationships and the credibility to shape and spearhead our engagement strategy.
Accountabilities:
- Spearhead our client engagement and business development activities across the Water Market.
- Develop and execute strategies to position our Asset & Information Management services effectively.
- Represent AtkinsRéalis through thought leadership, speaking at conferences, and submitting award entries to showcase our impact and innovation.
- Maintain a billable contribution of up to 50–60% of the working week, typically through technical oversight or as Project Director.
- Focus remaining time on market positioning, client engagement, and revenue generation for the practice.
- Work from an AtkinsRéalis office or client site at least three days per week, with travel expected as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Market Leadership: Act as the face of Asset & Information Management within the Water sector, identifying opportunities and shaping A&IM market strategy.
- Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key water clients, understanding their challenges and aligning our services to meet their needs.
- Sales & Growth: Lead business development efforts, develop compelling value propositions, and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
- Service Integration: Collaborate across service offerings to deliver integrated solutions that combine asset management, digital innovation, and data intelligence.
- Thought Leadership: Represent AtkinsRéalis at industry events, contribute to publications, and position the company as an expert in water asset management.
About You:
- Recognised leader in the industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of sales, client development, and market growth.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate technical capabilities into client value.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed, multidisciplinary environment.
- Proven experience in Asset & Information Management within the water or infrastructure sectors. IAM certificate as a minimum.
