The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
In this role you will join our global network of communication and marketing experts as part of our Global External Communications centre of expertise (COE), and play a key part in supporting the delivery of activity across the UK and Ireland region. You will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing media relationships, and ensuring timely reporting and distribution of media coverage across the business.
This role is ideal for an early-career communications professional who is looking to develop their skills in a global organization and work on high-impact external communications.
Your Role- Support the planning and execution of external communications campaigns across UK & Ireland, under guidance from senior team members.
- Draft and edit press releases and other external communications materials to create newsworthy content and alignment with corporate messaging.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, trade media, and key external stakeholders to secure positive coverage.
- Responsible for media monitoring platform, including analysis of media coverage, distribution of daily news monitoring across the business and preparation of regular reports for senior stakeholders.
- Ownership of media distribution lists & platforms: manage and maintain accurate media distribution lists and media stakeholder platforms to ensure effective outreach and engagement.
- Experience in external communications ideally within a corporate or agency environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and accurate content.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with media and internal stakeholders, or a strong desire to develop these skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and reporting processes, or willingness to learn.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, digital, and business units, to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaigns.
- Knowledge of the engineering, infrastructure, or professional services sector is desirable but not essential.
