Job Description Overview

With continued project wins and a strong forward order book, we are looking to grow our team in London (although work could be across the UK and Ireland) and this is an excellent career development opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate looking to progress their career to the next level.

You will be educated to degree level in an environmental or related discipline and have a good understanding of EIA and consenting.

You will have gained or be working towards chartership through IEMA/IES or another professional body.

Ideally the person would be able to work from London at least part time, although Epsom would be an option.

Your role

• Assist with the coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments and consenting projects and related deliverables.
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of environmental work undertaken by multidisciplinary teams including EIA, options appraisal, environmental management and consenting.
• Collate and edit information from a range of sources to provide clear, well‑written reports.
• Competently undertake own work to an excellent standard on time and to budget.
• Support senior management with bid preparation and project management to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality and client expectations.
• Support line managers and team leaders by mentoring junior staff.

About you

• Degree or Masters in an environmental or equivalent science subject.
• Chartered or working toward chartership with a relevant professional body.
• Experience working on EIA and consenting projects across any sector.
• Good knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical specialists.
• Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to take on new challenges and work from other Atkins Réalis or client office locations.

Security clearance: This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.

If this is necessary, it will be discussed during the interview.

The vetting process is delivered by the United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
