Join our growing national arboricultural team. AtkinsRéalis is an award-winning, world-class engineering and environmental consultancy, delivering some of the UK's most exciting and high-profile infrastructure and development projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking to recruit Arboriculturists to join our expanding national team. These home-based or hybrid positions offer flexible working arrangements and can be undertaken from locations across Great Britain, subject to the ability to travel to project sites and meetings as required.

The role provides opportunities to work on projects at local, regional and national scales, alongside a highly experienced team of arboricultural and environmental professionals. We are looking for individuals who are keen to develop their technical expertise, build project experience and contribute to the continued growth of our arboricultural team. Our Arboricultural team is recognised for delivering technical excellence across transport, energy, water, defence, residential, commercial and development sectors.

Working closely with ecologists, landscape architects, planners and engineers, we help clients successfully balance development needs with the protection and enhancement of trees and the wider environment.

Our Arboricultural team has supported the delivery of some of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure and development projects. We work alongside leading engineers, planners, ecologists and environmental specialists, providing specialist arboricultural advice from project inception through to construction and operation. Our projects span major transport, energy, water, defence and development schemes across the UK, offering opportunities to contribute to projects of national importance while helping to deliver positive outcomes for trees, biodiversity and communities. Recent and current projects include major rail, highway, renewable energy, water and nationally significant infrastructure projects, providing our team with some of the most diverse and rewarding arboricultural commissions in the industry.

This role would suit candidates holding a minimum Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in Arboriculture and who are confident in delivering arboricultural consultancy services across a range of project types. The successful candidate will be experienced in undertaking tree surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012 Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction – Recommendations, and be competent in preparing technical reports to support planning applications and development projects. You will also have experience undertaking tree condition and risk-based surveys and producing clear, pragmatic advice for clients.

As part of a multidisciplinary consultancy, you will work closely with colleagues from across environmental and engineering disciplines. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys collaborative working, can manage their own workload effectively, and is confident taking ownership of projects while knowing when to seek support and guidance from colleagues.
