Your role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Manager to help us establish our Procurement expertise within the London and Southeast Commercial and Procurement team. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with our clients and will bring a growth mindset to build and strengthen key client relationships. As a Senior Procurement Manager your role will require you to draw on your procurement, commercial and supply chain expertise to advise and deliver a broad range of procurement and commercial requirements to our clients. You will promote procurement best practice, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and help clients enhance their procurement and commercial capability. From shaping procurement strategies and leading sourcing activities through to supplier relationship management, you will help clients achieve maximum value from their supply chain ecosystem while delivering sustainable commercial outcomes. Working with clients across the public and private sector, you will use your skills – technical and others - to share your knowledge, expertise, and experience, and ultimately to deliver fantastic services. You will work collaboratively with our clients and their supply chain partners to develop/deliver solutions to complex and dynamic problems.

About you: Degree qualified, with membership or working towards a relevant professional body such as MCIPs. Experience in delivering procurement activities across major programmes and complex infrastructure environments such as utilities, transport, energy, or defence. Has the ability to work in a client facing environment, alongside multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, clients and partners to deliver solutions to complex client or industry challenges. Demonstratable experience developing and implementing procurement strategies, defining requirements, leading sourcing and tendering activities, supporting contract mobilisation and driving value through effective supplier and contract management. Experience or knowledge of industry standard contract forms such as NEC, JTC or FIDIC with the ability to understand and advise on contractual and commercial risks. Experience in a wide range of end-to-end procurement lifecycle activities, with the ability to advise or deliver complex procurements across client strategic projects. Strong commercial awareness with experience in supporting clients achieving procurement objectives, improving commercial outcomes and enhancing organisational procurement capability. Experience or desire to drive business development activities, including client relationship management, opportunity identification, proposal development, bid writing and supporting the growth of client relationships. Experience of working within public and private sector organisations, including use or knowledge of Public Sector Procurement Regulations such as Public Contract Regulations 2015, Utilities Regulations 2016 and an understanding of key legislative changes under the Procurement Act 2023. Possesses strong communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and build consensus across complex stakeholder environments.
