Your Role
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Undertake ecological assessment and habitat design for a variety of development and nature recovery projects.
- Lead on delivery of Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) and provide advice at all project stages.
- Provide support and advice to others in the ecology team on HRA.
- Collaborate within multi‑disciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders/clients.
- Deliver clear and concise, high‑quality ecological deliverables in line with current guidance and good practice.
- Manage task and project delivery throughout the contract lifecycle.
About You
- Passion for ecology and a good working knowledge of wildlife legislation.
- Experience delivering Habitats Regulations Assessment for a range of projects, including large multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Experience of HRA of plans and strategic documents; knowledge of Development Consent Order HRA desirable.
- Experience with the HRA Derogations process and general ecological impact assessment.
- Good report‑writing skills and experience of protected species and habitats survey, mitigation and licensing.
- Understanding of client relationship management and project bidding.
- Ability to manage deliverables from bidding through to completion.
- Membership of CIEEM or equivalent with Chartership (CEnv or CEcol) or the current ability to achieve chartership.
- Full driving licence.

Additional Information
Security clearance: This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will be contingent upon obtaining the appropriate level of clearance. The vetting process will be conducted through United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of UK residency for at least five years.
