Senior Project Controls Manager in Birmingham

Your role includes:

• Establishing, monitoring, and managing the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and periodically collating KPIs and progress data related to time, cost, risk, change, and quality to report to senior leaders of the project.
• Developing and implementing an appropriate performance measurement system such as earned value management and integrating it into periodic reporting.
• Developing, improving where required, and implementing the change control processes of the project.
• Chairing and/or facilitating the necessary project level change forums and ensuring all choices are enacted within the change control system and toolsets.
• Coordinating multiple contributors to conduct change impact assessments and supporting the Programme Management team in driving agreement on 'best for Programme' decisions.
• Leading periodic and ad hoc reporting, taking ownership for its quality, accuracy, and robustness, and ensuring the monthly project review pack is compiled and presented to the management team on time.
• Integrating schedule, cost, scope, quality, change, and risk data to provide a full picture of project health and providing interpretation of the data contained in monthly reporting pack to support prompt decision making.
• Working closely with Planning, cost management, and risk functions and deputising for Project Controls lead to improve/sustain operating policies, procedures & processes, and ensuring its proper application by the Project Controls team.
• Supporting the leadership team by providing specialist advice and technical knowledge to resolve delays, issues, and other challenges throughout the project.
• Undertaking maturity assessment to identify areas of improvements and implementing change initiatives to improve maturity of project control functions in a project or programme environment.
• Managing a Project Controls team where required, setting individuals' objectives, reviewing performance, undertaking appraisals, providing ongoing formal and informal feedback, and ensuring all staff know what they must achieve and how they're performing against their objectives.
